Our Community Rules

Our Community Rules ("The Rules") are designed to govern the relationship between La Tribu and its community members. They outline the rules and guidelines for using our website and participating in our community activities. By accessing our website and becoming a part of our community, you agree to abide by these Rules.

What we’re building​

A women-first, inclusive community where courage, clarity, and growth are the norm.​​

The Rules:​​

  1. Lead with giving. Share resources, intros, feedback, jobs, or templates before you pitch.

  2. No spam. Zero. No mass DMs, scraping emails, unsolicited pitches, or “spray-and-pray” promos. Ask for permission before sending anything promotional.

  3. Keep it respectful. No harassment, hate, discrimination, or dog-whistles. Disagree with ideas, not people.

  4. Protect trust. We follow the Chatham House Rule: share learnings, not identities or specifics, unless you have consent.

  5. Bring receipts. Share lived experience, credible sources, or honest caveats. No plagiarism or misinformation.

  6. AI with integrity. Disclose AI-generated content, respect IP, and never misrepresent.

  7. Stay on mission. We’re here for career clarity, courage, and connection- not cold lead-gen.​

Promotion Policy

(because boundaries are love)

  • Where: Post only in the designated #promotions thread/channel (or the weekly promo post).

  • How often: Max 1 promo per month per member.

  • What to include: Who it helps, the concrete value, and a clear call-to-action. No fake urgency, no bait-and-switch.

  • Events & jobs: Allowed when genuinely useful to members. Add context and why it’s relevant to La Tribu.

Safety and Moderation​​​

  • We remove posts/DMs that break the rules.

  • Enforcement ladder: friendly nudge → content removal → 7-day pause → removal from the community.

  • To flag concerns, DM us on IG @LaTribu.HQ with screenshots and context.

FAQs

  • What counts as spam vs. “leading with giving”?

    Giving: sharing a template, intro, resource, or hard-won lesson with no strings attached.

    Spam: mass DMs, scraping contacts, posting promos outside the promo space, or pushing offers without consent. When in doubt, ask first.

  • Can I promote my business/event/job?

    Yes- in the #promotions thread (or weekly promo post), once per month, with clear value. Outside of that, share useful content, not ads.

  • Who can join? Are allies welcome?

    La Tribu is women-first and inclusive. Thoughtful allies are welcome by invitation and are expected to uphold these rules, especially the giving-first norm.
