  • Profile details for community directories and event RSVPs

  • Content you post in our spaces such as introductions, comments, uploads

  • Preferences such as topics of interest and communication choices

  • Cookies and similar technologies for analytics, performance, and personalization

  • Event partners or referral programs

  • Social or single sign-on services if you choose to connect them

Sensitive data:
We do not seek sensitive personal data. Please do not share health, financial account numbers, or government IDs in community spaces.

To provide our services and community spaces:

  • To keep our spaces safe and enforce our rules of engagement

6. Community spaces and events

  • Content you post may be visible to other members

  • We moderate to protect safety and trust

  • We may capture photos and video at events. We use them to share recaps and promote La Tribu. Tell us at check-in if you prefer not to appear, and move to no-photo zones when available

7. AI tools disclosure

We may use trusted AI tools to draft communications, summarize feedback, or improve services. We instruct providers not to use your data to train their models when opt-outs exist. Do not upload confidential or sensitive information to public channels.

8. Sharing your data

We do not sell personal information. We share limited data with:

  • Service providers that host, process payments, send emails, manage sign-ups, run analytics, and power community tools. Typical providers include website hosts such as Wix or Webflow, email services such as Substack or Mailchimp, payment processors such as Stripe, event tools such as Eventbrite or Luma, community platforms such as Slack, Circle, WhatsApp, or Google Workspace

  • Event partners when needed to run a joint event or fulfill your registration

  • Legal, safety, and compliance when we must protect members, our rights, or follow the law
    These providers only use data to deliver services for us and must protect it.

9. International transfers

We operate globally. When we transfer data to countries with different laws, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and provider certifications.

10. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose collected, to meet legal and accounting requirements, and to resolve disputes. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

We use administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect data. No system is perfectly secure. Help us by using strong passwords and reporting issues.

Your rights depend on where you live. We will honor valid requests wherever possible.

 

Mexico (LFPDPPP) — ARCO rights
You may Access, Rectify, Cancel, or Oppose the processing of your data and withdraw consent. Contact us at hola@latribu.com. Include your full name, a description of your request, and a way to identify you. We will respond within statutory timelines.

European Economic Area and UK (GDPR)
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. You can withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA)
You may request to know, correct, or delete personal information and to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context advertising. We do not sell personal information. To manage cookie-based sharing, use our cookie preferences.

Marketing choices


You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in the message or by contacting us.

13. Children’s privacy

La Tribu is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can delete it.

14. Third-party links

Our site and community may link to other services. Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before sharing information.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version with a new “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will let you know through the site or by email.
